About Wickhamry Jewellery

Picture
The original designs by Deborah Wickham, and the hand fabrication by Matthew Wickham ensure every piece of Wickhamry Jewellery is unique.

Both Deborah and Matthew have studied Fine Art to Masters level, which has lent a concept-based approach to the design and making of contemporary jewellery. Matthew is particularly concerned with the preservation of traditional craft through the use of hand-tools in his making: a technique he sees as a more sustainable method of production.

The designs are inspired by nature, the observation and respect for all aspects of the Earth’s creation, even recognising the beauty in decay. Leaves, flowers, seaweed, lichen, insects: all these have provided Deborah with inspiration.

The pieces are made from Sterling Silver, and hallmarked in accordance with the British Assay Office’s standards. Precious and semi-precious gemstones are used to provide drama and glamour, with gold accents that often add quirky touches.

From daywear to eveningwear, special occasions, or even a coronet fit for a Princess on her wedding day, you are sure to find a piece that suits. Even the packaging is unique: hand-crafted by Deborah from sumptuous purple velvet with elaborate beading.
